Lisette Portfolio Dress

I started sewing up this dress on Sunday afternoon and had it finished by Sunday night. This is Lisette Simplicity pattern 2245. I used a grey linen that looks more khaki than grey. I wasn't going to use any contrasting fabric for that front yoke, but decided to use that striped fabric I bought from IKEA and used for my homemade slippers. It provides a nice pop of color. This pattern was well-written and very easy to follow. There are some nice details in this dress, including the kimono-style sleeves and the cool on-seam pockets. I'm looking forward to sewing up the Market blouse and skirt pattern (Simplicity 2211).

That is super cute! I love that little stripe bit peeking out. Good call.

Make more of these patterns so I can see which to make next ;-)

I love it! The neck contrast is perfect -- it really pulls the whole thing together. Great job!
