Here are a couple of quick projects that I sewed up this weekend. The fabrics are cotton lawns that I picked up from Bolt and the projects are from the latest I Love Liberty Japanese pattern book. The dress has some gathering at the front neckline, but other than that detail, it's a simple shift with a belt to create some shaping. The top has a yoke on the front that also has gathering. The pattern originally called for a button closure in the back, but I altered it so it could just pull it on. These garments will be perfect for the summer weather that finally arrived in Portland last week.
