Windsor Cardi: In the Beginning

Here's the very beginning of the Windsor Cardi. The ribbing seemed to take forever, but I finally started in on the lace pattern yesterday. So far, so good. The pattern is interesting enough to keep me focused, but not so complex that I have to completely watch what I'm doing at all moments. In my opinion, that's the perfect lace pattern. If I lose my place on the chart, I can easily figure out where I am without too much difficulty. The other thing I am loving about this project is that it's knit in one piece, which makes the knitting seem to go by faster.
