Silky Patterned Pants

I'm not one to follow fashion trends too often (though I'm loving the all the colorblocking and the comeback of neons and brights), but when I read about the silky pants trend, I took notice. Especially because I recently purchased a bunch of silk from the Fabric Depot outdoor sale. So, I searched through my Japanese pattern books and found a simple and fast drawstring pant. I made a muslin yesterday afternoon and it turned out great, so I proceeded to cut out the pattern in a panelled silk dot print. I very rarely sew pants, but I think these turned out great and think they would be great in a linen or cotton.
