Merchant & Mills Gyo Dress

I went to my local fabric store to check out their sale this past weekend and looked through their pattern offerings. I saw the Merchant & Mills pattern, the Gyo Dress, and immediately snapped it up. I love the asymmetrical neckline and the different straps. I chose a navy cotton/linen blend and added some striped denim for the thinner strap. I mistakenly read the yardage for the fabric needed and didn't buy enough. I got fabric cut for my size, forgetting that Merchant & Mills patterns have UK sizing. I had to use fabric from my stash for the front and back facings, but everything still turned out okay. Other mods I made: the sizing on this particular pattern runs a little large. I made the same size as all the other Merchant & Mills patterns I have and should have gone down a size. I easily made some side seam alterations after finishing my sewing. I also lengthened the dress by about 1.5". Love how this dress turned out and can't wait to wear it.
