Ellsworth Shirt

This is the finished Ellsworth shirt from Merchant & Mills. It's an oversized, boxy shirt that has a dropped back hem and half placket. I used a poplin cotton with a tiny grid pattern, which explains the moiré effect in all the photos. I was too lazy to retake them, but you can click on the photo for a clearer view. Like all the other Merchant & Mills patterns I've made, the directions for this shirt were very clear and easy to follow. I guess don't make a lot of shirts because they're sort of a pain in the ass: the collar and collar stand, the placket, the buttonholes, the cuffs. Regardless, I do love the special details that are a standard part of M&M patterns: the split hem, the dolman-style sleeve, the simple cuff. I do love how it turned out and will get a lot of wear from it.
